The tradition of discipline and protocol in the Martial Arts is part of what makes training so special and sets it apart from the gym or other activities. Please join us in making Sunny Dojo a pleasant and productive place for all of our students and families by reviewing and abiding by these rules. Thank you for your cooperation. OSS!
- Martial Arts begin and end with Respect. Respect the People, the Process, and the Place. Please treat everyone with courtesy.

- No obscene language or ill-tempered behavior is allowed inside the Dojo. Control your temper at all times.
- Do not talk or exit the mat while the Instructor is teaching — keep talking with training partners to a minimum.
- For safety reasons, if you arrive late, or plan to leave early — ask the Instructor’s permission before entering or exiting the mat. You may NOT attend class if you are more than 10 minutes late.
- It is mandatory to wear an official school gi / uniform when training.
- It is mandatory to wear a t-shirt / rashguard underneath your gi jacket. Preferably a Sunny Dojo t-shirt / rashguard.
- When tying or adjusting your gi, please turn away from your training partner and face the edge of the mats.
- When working with your training partner, bow to each other at the beginning and at the end of each exercise.
- All students must maintain good personal hygiene.
- Keep finger and toe nails short and clean for everyone’s safety.
